泰國國王拉瑪九世蒲美蓬13日辭世，總統蔡英文今(17)日上午11時15分，由外交部長李大維陪同，前往泰國經貿辦事處設置的泰王蒲美蓬靈堂致哀；泰國經貿辦事處則由泰國辦事處代表畢倫出面接待。

泰王蒲美蓬13日辭世，蔡總統第一時間即請外交部，正式向泰國人民表達台灣的哀悼之意。總統府昨天表示，由於泰王地位崇高，深獲泰國人民愛戴，蔡總統今天將親赴泰國辦事處致哀，以彰顯蔡總統對泰王的敬重。

上午11時15分蔡總統一身黑色套裝，在外交部長李大維的陪同下，赴泰國經貿辦事處致哀，由辦事處代表畢倫出面接待蔡總統一行；蔡總統抵達辦事處時，先向大門迎接她的辦事處人員合手致意。

隨後即與李大維到泰國辦事處設置的靈堂前，向已故泰王蒲美蓬鞠躬致哀。由於靈堂旁的牆上，掛了一些泰王蒲美蓬的歷史相片，蔡總統致哀後便參觀相片，畢倫也一一向蔡總統解說相片的史事，兩人頻頻以英文交談，在聽完畢倫解說後，蔡總統即與李大維離去。
